Đa số các shop của Việt Nam là không có thanh toán trực tuyến, vì thế, form hỏi thông tin sản phẩm lại hữu dụng. Form này được xuất hiện khi bạn đặt chế độ của shop là catalog mode hoặc là không có giá cho sản phẩm. File template cần thao tác chính là components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/pages/shop.ask.tpl.php

Các bước dưới đây sẽ hướng dẫn thêm trường số điện thoại vào form contact

1. Thêm biến ngôn ngữ:

Mở:  administrator/components/com_virtuemart/languages/shop/english.php,

thêm vào cuối file dòng

'PHONE_PROMPT' => 'Enter your Phone Number',

2. Mở components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/pages/shop.ask.tpl.php
Tìm tới đoạn html mà bạn muốn chèn thêm trường phone vào và paste đoạn mã sau:
_('PHONE_PROMPT') ?>



3. Mở administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html/shop.ask.php
Tại dòng 80, thêm đoạn mã
'phone' => $phone,

4. Mở administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/ps_communication.php
Tìm đến dòng 156, thêm
$phone = $d['phone'];

5. Tại dòng sau đó
$subject_msg = vmRequest::getVar( 'text', '', 'post' );
Sửa thành
$subject_msg = vmRequest::getVar( 'text', '', 'post', 'phone' );

6. Tại dòng 205, thêm:
'phone' => $phone,

7. Mở components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates/order_emails/enquiry_email.tpl.php
